We Remember Everything

A fundraiser for Covid relief for India on Saturday 22 May, 2-4.30 pm BST/ 6.30-9 pm IST

“Sab Yaad Rakha Jayega. Everything will be remembered.” — Aamir Aziz

The second wave of COVID-19 is wreaking devastation and chaos in India, ahead of the predicted impact on the wider sub-continent. With a right-wing nationalist government in flight from reality, mutual aid and collaboration have never been more necessary.

On Saturday 22 May, join poets, writers and artists in solidarity, in grief and in love with the people of India. With Aamer Aziz, Vahni CapildeoMeena Kandasamy, Bhanu Kapil, Ashwani Kumar, PratyushaNat Raha, Nisha Ramayya, Kashif Sharma Patel, Himali Singh Soin, Bisakh SomAmia SrinivasanPreti Taneja and more to be announced.

All money raised will be donated on a rolling basis to a range of community-based, mutual aid initiatives based on regularly updated guidance from organisers and mutual aid workers in India so that the funds reach those most in need.

We stand with the people of India, in diaspora and at home; like them, everything will be remembered.

Organised by Ignota, the87Press and The White Review.

This event will take place on Zoom and booking is required. Instructions for connecting to the discussion will be emailed to you just before the event begins; you will not need to contact us in advance.
